Indoor take place in Athlone

THERE were some fine Sligo AC performances at the Irish Life Health National Juvenile Indoor Championships held in Athlone at the weekend. IN the 1K Walk Un- der 15, Ruth Monaghan was 2nd in 5: 01, just edging out Waterford AC’s Claire Caulfield. Well done to Eva Dela- hunt who placed 3rd in the 1.5K Walk U17 Wom- en and also to Ryan Roberts in the 1.5K Walk U17 Men who was also 3rd with his 7: 20.

Meanwhile he Morgan ran a 5: 11 in the U17 1500M to finish while Daragh ran 4: 37 in the U17 Ailb- good 12th Williams 1500M.

Orna Mur- phy ran 8: 82 in the 60M Under 12 Wom- en to finish 3rd in her heat.

Michael Morgan had the honour of representing his country in the SIAB Cross Country International in Margram Park in Port Talbot, Wales. Michael had a fine race and he finished 17th to help Ireland earn Silver in the Junior Boys race.
