CPR/ AED TRAINING
There are now 80 residents trained in CPR/ AED in Carraroe area. Get to know the people on your road who are trained in CPR/ AED as it might be of assistance in the future. People interested in a CPR/ AED Course or CPR/ AED Refresher Training can call or text 087 2222835. Please note the AEDs are located at the Community Centre and Football Clubhouse. The code to open is posted beside each machine.
OAK LAWN RESIDENTS
Carraroe and District Regeneration Association will host a meeting for all residents of Oak Lawn to discuss the formation of a residents’ association for the estate. Invitations to the meeting were delivered to each house in estate during the week. The meeting is in the Fr Curley Room Carraroe Community Centre tonight at 8 p. m. Please come and invite your neighbours.
SPRING CLEAN
The annual Spring Clean is taking place on Saturday, April 22. Please keep the date free to assist give our community a good spring clean. More information later.

The regular Tuesday night game in Community Centre commences 9 p. m.. New players always welcome- partners can be arranged. Jackpot now € 300. A good night of fun, chat and cards is guaranteed. The next meeting of Lakeview Guild which will be our AGM will be held in Carraroe Community Centre on Tuesday, April 4, at 8 p. m. Members are reminded their membership fees are due on that night.
The members continue to enjoy the pilates class on Thursdays at 2 p. m.
The training course for officers was held in Coolaney on 10th march, thanks to Coolaney guild for hosting it and to all the guilds for attending.
The Federation president Kay Cunnane wants to thank Maura McManus, Mary Harkin and Margaret Cunningham for facilitating the course. The national AGM will be held in the Sheraton Hotel in Athlone on Saturday the 20th may. Our annual walk will be held on Saturday the 28th may commencing at the Embassy JFK Parade Sligo. The chosen charity is the Cancer Support Centre Wine St, Sligo. We congratulate Coolaney Guild which celebrates its golden jubilee this year. The guild held its first meeting on March 3, 1967. It is planned to bring past and present members together with the community to celebrate and mark the 50 years later in the year.
