WELL DONE JODY

Well done to the Sligo u- 21 who beat the Rossies and are now in the Connacht final where their opponents will be either Mayo or Galway. Local Geevagh man, Jody O’Reilly played a very important role in that victory by scoring a goal and a point. Best of luck in the final lads.

JUNIOR MUSIC SESSION

A great day was had by all at the junior music session which was held in Paddy’s Bar recently. The session was led by Lorraine Sweeney and all the children showed great talent. Many thanks to all the parents and to all who supported it. Well done to all who prepared and supplied the food ant to all who donated to the raffle. The proceeds are being donated to the “Spray it, don’t paint it” project at Geevagh N. S.

10K FUN RUN AND WALK

There was great support last weekend for the Annual 10k fun run and walk despite the weather. All the proceeds were donated to a special cause which all of the community are now aware of.

The GLAD committee and others are very grateful for all the support received and it shows what a wonderful caring community we have here. It is extraordinary how people responded with so much generosity at short notice. Hopefully this gesture will help the family out in the short term and our thoughts and prayers are with them at this time. A selection of pictures from the day are on the Geevagh facebook page.
