Fresh charge of assault

A 27 year old woman has been accused of assaulting another woman at a Sligo hotel last November.

Edel Doherty of Clara, Isle of Doagh, Carndonagh, Donegal, was charged with assaulting Natalia Michalik at the Clarion Hotel ( now called the Clayton Hotel) on Clarion Road on November 12th 2016.

Garda David Hannigan told Judge Kevin Kilrane at Sligo District Court that Doherty made no reply when cautioned last Thursday morning March 30th.

Doherty was already previously charged with two Public Order offences on the same date.

Judge Kevin Kilrane remanded Doherty on continuing bail to April 27th.
