Holy Family School in Tubbercurry

THE Marist Sisters in Tubbercurry wish to publicly state that they do not own the land adjacent to the Holy Family National School in Tubbercurry.

The site is currently owned by Sligo County Council, which has agreed to give the land to the school for a new set down area and parking area.

The matter was raised at the March County Council meeting with Councillor Margaret Gormley asking the Council to expedite the transfer of land ownership. However the meeting heard that legal talks were ongoing between the school and their patron, the diocese of Achonry.
