Rovers bingo fest a huge success as over 1000 attend

SLIGO Rovers’ Premier Division game against Galway United may well have been postponed on Friday night, but there was plenty of excitement at the Knocknarea Arena at IT Sligo this weekend for the club’s bingo festival.

€ 20,000 in total was handed out over the two days to lucky winners.

The event was an unprece- dented success, with 800 people participating on Saturday, and 650 on Sunday.

Such was the success of the event, € 500 was donated to the North West Hospice by the organisers of the event.

Further bingo events could be held in the near future as a fundraiser.
