Gymnasts honoured
DyNamo Gym Club celebrated their Club Awards Night recently at the Glasshouse Hotel, where Aoife Loughlin was named ‘ Gymnast of the Year’. Aoife is a very deserving winner who is so dedicated to her sport and the club. It was a very special evening for the club, which highlighted the many achievements over the last year including five gymnasts selected on to the Acro National Squad who represented Ireland at the Celtic Cup Finals. Four gymnasts were selected onto the National Acrobatic Development Squad, achieving four National Titles and 11 Regional Titles at the National Acro Championships, five National Titles at the National Tumbling League Championships, and seven Regional Titles at the ATT Championships, GymSTART levels competed in the recreational programme and hosted a successful Acrobatic Interclub event at the club’s facility. The evening also provided an opportunity to thank the many coaches at DyNamo who volunteer on a weekly basis providing a quality gymnastics programme locally, and make it all possible. Recreational Class 2 Gymnast of the Year: Orla Gillespie. Most Improved Gymnast of the Year: Ogie Barrett and Nessa O’Sullivan. Hardest Worker of the Year: Aoife Gallagher
Beginner competitor of the Year: Isabelle Davitt Tumbler of the Year: Kate McGuinn Artistic Gymnast of the Year: Roisin Heneghan
