YOUNG/ PREGNANT MUMS
This is a new group for young mums and young mums to be ( under the age of 25) which will take place here in the Avalon Centre on Thursday mornings from 11 a. m. to midday starting on Thursday, April 6.
Take the opportunity to relax and enjoy a chat over a cup of coffee in a fun and friendly atmosphere. There will be weekly activities, informative talks and workshops, singing, story- time and a large selection of toys. Tea or coffee and snacks will be provided. EASTER CAMP
Come and join our fun- filled Easter Camp here in the Avalon Centre. The camp is for children aged 6- 10 and takes place from April 10 to April 13th, 2017. Camp hours are 10 a. m. to 4 p. m. each day and the cost is € 60 per child. Drop into the Avalon Centre’s main office now to complete the application form and book your place. The office will be open from 9 a. m. to 5.30 p. m. on Mondays and Tuesdays and from 9 a. m. to 2 p. m. on Thursdays to process applications. NB: Bookings will not be accepted over the telephone, or outside office hours outlined above. Camp fees must be paid in full at the time of booking. No deposits will be accepted.
GUITAR LESSONS
Guitar lessons with Dean Mahon have started yesterday and will continue to run every Wednesday – 4.30 p. m. to 5.30pm for six- to nine- year- olds and 5.30 to 6.30 p. m. for 10- to 14- year- olds. The cost is € 50 for seven weeks. Registration will take place prior to the start of each class.
COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT
The Avalon Centre has two areas of opportunity to work on our DSP funded Community Employment ( CE) project. We wish to recruit a receptionist- administrator and after- school project assistants to work afternoons. CE conditions apply for all posts and are subject to references and Garda vetting. BABY/ TODDLER GROUP
The Busy Buddies Baby and toddler group is our new and second day for parents and toddlers. It continues every Monday in the Avalon Centre, Chapel Street, from 11 a. m.- 12, 30 p. m. Parents, grandparents and carers are all welcome. There’s lots of physical activity, play time, sand and water play, ball pond for toddlers and a baby corner for the little ones. Tea and coffee and snacks provided. € 3 per family. Ages 0- 4 years old.
PARENT/ TODDLER GROUP
The popular Little Buddies Parent and Toddler Group continues on Wednesdays from 10.30 a. m. to midday, during the school term. This is a toddler group for children aged 0- 4 years. Parents, grandparents and carers are all welcome. Pre- schoolers can have fun with art and craft, messy play, cookery, music, games, story- time, physical activity and play time- all for just € 3 per family. BINGO
Avalon Bingo takes place on Friday nights, with prizes on offer. Double books are € 15; single books, € 10; half books, € 5 and single sheets, € 1.
