‘ Council should consider turbines and solar panels’

JERRY Lundy wants Sligo County Council to consider the use of solar panels and wind turbines.

Speaking at an EU Energy Conference in Brussels, Cllr Lundy called on the local authorities to lead by example by powering the region’s civic and administration offices through clean technologies.

“I think the likes of Sligo County Council and county councils in the western and border region should look at their own buildings and look to using features such as solar panels and wind turbines to provide their power.”
