ANGLING SKILLS CLASS

An Angling Skills Class is being held in the Pastoral Centre on Friday, April 7, at 8 p. m. for novice and beginners. Anyone attending please contact Keith at 086 8612225 with your name and how many will be attending.

DAFFODIL DAY

Our Daffodil Day in Ballymote took place on Friday, March 24, and it was a wonderful success with € 3219.68 raised on the day. Thank you to Henry’s Service Station, SuperValu and our local Post Office for the use of their surrounds as collection points. Thank you to all those who donated fresh daffodils and those who came out on the day to support us. We appreciate and extend a big thank to our volunteer collectors, who did such Trojan work on the day to make it such a successful event.

UNDERAGE GAA

Ballymote under- 8 and under- 10 girls and boys training is on at the Gaelic pitch on Wednesday evenings from 7 p. m. to 8 p. m.

DARKNESS INTO LIGHT

Registrati­on is now open for Darkness into Light Ballymote 2017. Participan­ts can register online at dil. pieta. ie and early registrati­on with reduced rates has been extended to Friday, April 7. COLÁISTE MHUIRE

Congratula­tions to Coláiste Mhuire student Eimear Conlon, who won the Western Ireland Schools Debating competitio­n on Thursday, March 23, in Galway. Eimear will now represent Coláiste Mhuire in the all- Ireland finals in Cork during Easter break.

Congratula­tions and thanks also to students and staff who raised € 600 for the Irish Cancer Society on Daffodil Day March 24.

Best of luck to all third and sixth years who undergo their oral and practical exams for junior and Leaving Cert exams this week. Transition Year students are completing a Genealogy course with local historians this week.
