Coaches finish training
COACHES in Sligo/ Leitrim recently completed the FAI Player Development Plan 2 coaching course last night.
The course was held in Summerhill College over four Wednesday evenings.
John Russell, FAI Development Officer for Sligo, explained: “The course is designed to assist coaches in the development of the players’ soccer specific and fundamental movements skills.
“These focus on game related functions, progressing into small sided games. It’s aimed at players aged between nine and 12 years. I was assisted on the course by Damon Kearney, FAI Development Officer for Leitrim. It was a good success,” John added.
