COMMUNITY ALARMS

Cranmore Community Co- operative in their aim to support older persons in the community are presently taking grant applicatio­ns for the Seniors Alert Alarm Scheme administer­ed by the Co- op and managed by the Department of Environmen­t, community, and Local Government.

The purpose of the scheme is to ensure that older people without sufficient means continue to live securely in their own home with confidence, independen­ce and peace of mind. Funding will be available for the purchase and installati­on of personal monitored alarms. Qualifying persons must be over 65 years of age, and living alone or with another qualified person. PUBLIC HEALTH NURSES

Public Health Nurses are in Cranmore Co- op Offices, 11 Devins Drive every Tuesday from 2 p. m. to 3.30 p. m.

YOUTH CITY

Cranmore Youth Club is on Tuesdays night from 7 p. m. to 8.30 p. m. for the seven- to 11- year- olds and Wednesday nights for the 12- to 16- year- olds in the Cranmore Co- op Offices, 11 Devins Drive – all new members welcome.
