Surf camps hit the waves
SLIGO’S newest surf school, iSurfIreland School of Surfing in Strandhill, is holding an Easter Surf Camp from April 17 - 21st.
The camps are for kids who are off school on their mid- term. This surf camp is being held ahead of their summer surf camp which kicks off in June when the schools are out for summer. The fiveday surf camp is held Monday to Friday from 10 am - 12 pm at Strandhill Beach. In addition to lots of fun in the ocean practising surfing, participants also get to learn about the wind and tides and essential water safety. Beach games and eco- walks are also part of the programme. Seamus McGoldrick, iSurfIreland manager, says the camp’s structure provides children with lots of learning opportunities. He said: “This is a fun and structured five- day camp and it is the best way to introduce your child to surfing because each day the camp participants build on the previous day’s knowledge.” Call Seamus on 087 7471915 or email isurfirelandsurfschool@ gmail. com
