SPRING CLEAN

The annual Spring Clean is taking place next Saturday, April 22, commencing at 9.30 a. m. Volunteers are requested to assemble in Fr Curley Room; Community Centre to arrange road schedule etc. All necessary equipment will be available. If you have your own Hi Vis or picker please bring it with you.

Sligo County Council will facilitate removal of the rubbish we gather on the day. Usual refreshments will be available after the hard work. Looking forward to a good community response to this effort.

MENTAL HEALTH COFFEE

Five Sligo students, hoping to raise awareness and funds for Mental Health Charities nationwide, are hosting a coffee morning after both masses next Sunday in Carraroe Community Centre. Their chosen charities are Aware, Mind, and Mind Your Mood. These charities do invaluable work and support many people close to them. The demand on such charities is increasing and they rely on kind donations.

The students will be participating in the Belfast City Marathon and in advance they hope to raise very worthy funds and to also raise awareness of mental health, a very important issue which unfortunately affects every community in today’s world.

So why not come along for a nice cuppa and plenty of homemade goodies. All are welcome and they would love to see you there. Also they would be very grateful of any donations of homemade cakes. These can be dropped into the Community Centre before the 9.30 mass.
