THE intermedia­te footballer­s were in fine form over the holiday weekend recording away wins over St Johns on Friday evening and over Easkey on Easter Sunday. Our next fixture is at home to Castleconn­or this weekend. OUR snr ladies team defeated St Michaels on a scoreling of 2 - 13 to 2 – 5 on Sunday morning and they travel to Eoghan Rua on Saturday next for the next round. THE u8s and u10s began their seasons with two thrilling games against St Michaels on Wednesday evening last and we look forward to welcoming the footballer­s of Owenmore Gaels to Geevagh on April 26th. Our u12 boys also beat St Michaels on Tuesday last while the u12 girls had a win over Ballisodar­e on Friday. The Geevagh/ St Michaels U/ 16 team travelled to play Coolera/ Strandhill on Monday evening last and after a thrilling hours football we came away with a draw. Our next game is on Monday 24th April when we have Eastern Harps as visitors. The St Michaels/ Geevagh U18 team were defeated by Calry St Josephs on Thursdsy evening last and in Rd 4 we have Tourlestra­ne as visitors on Thursday 20th April. MANY thanks to everybody who was involved in our Alternativ­e Rose competitio­n in Kilronan Castle on Saturday evening last. The event attracted a large crowd and was a very successful and enjoyable occasion.
