Father and son to have joint funeral

There will be joint funerals this Wednesday for father and son Christophe­r ( Sonny) Harte and Sean Harte who died tragically in a fire in an apartment at Market Street in the early hours of last Saturday morning.

The funeral Mass of Christophe­r and his son Sean, described as inseparabl­e, will take place at Sligo Cathedral on Wednesday.

Christophe­r Harte came from a large and very well known and respected family in St Brigid’s Place, Sligo.

He is survived by his children, Michael, Shelley and Paul. He is also sadly missed by his brothers Harry, Sal, Vincent, Sean, Joseph, Paul and Basil along with sisters Molly, Poppy, Eva, Patricia, Martina and Lavina.

His passing is also deeply mourned by in- laws, grandchild­ren Klara and Clayton, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Christophe­r will repose at his late residence, 65 St Brigid’s Place on Tuesday from 12 noon to 10pm.

Funeral will arrive at Sligo Cathedral on Wednesday morning for Mass of the Resurrecti­on at 11- 30am with burial in Sligo Cemetery afterwards. The house is private on Wednesday morning. Sean Harte is sadly missed by his brothers Michael and Paul, sister Shelley, his loving mother Sue, uncles, aunts, nephew, niece, relatives and many friends.

He too will be reposing at the family home at 65 St. Brigid` s Place on Tuesday from 12 noon to 10pm.

His funeral will also arrive at Sligo Cathedral on Wednesday morning for Mass of the Resurrecti­on at 11.30am with burial in Sligo Cemetery afterwards.

Mourners are kindly advised that it is family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired to the North West Hospice in Sligo.
