of Stang, Strandhill Road was fined € 750 by Judge Dunne for not having insurance at at Cluid, Ballymote on June 8th last.

Mr Gerard McGovern, solicitor ( defending), pleaded that the defendant lost his job and it was purely financial that he didn’t have insurance.

Also fined for not having insurance was Rory Finan of Gort Ard, Avenue, Salthill, Galway. He admitted not having inusrance at Church Hill on September 10th 2015.

Mr Tom MacSharry, solicitor ( defending) pleaded that the defendant had a policy of insurance up to August 13th 2015 but it had lapsed. Judge Dunne imposed a fine of € 750.

A young man charged with the posses- sion of cannabis was ordered to come up with € 300 for a charity at the court.

Tim Clogher, Milltowncr­oss, Dysart admitted having the drug on September 21st last at Ballinode. The value of the drug was € 10 and he didn’t have any previous conviction­s said Mr Gerard McGovern, solicitor ( defending). The defendant worked on the insulation of houses, he added. Judge Dunne gave the defendant one week to come up with the money for charity if this was done the matter would be struck out. A similar order was made in respect of Patrick McEvilly ( 29) of 77 John Street who admitted possessing € 30 worthcanna­bis herb at the same address on August 26th last. Mr Mark Mullaney, solicitor appeared.
