All Ireland Baling Challenge comes to Bunninadden to fundraise for ill children

-

A unique All Ireland Baling Challenge is making its way to Sligo to raise money for terminally ill children.

It is part of a nationwide campaign organised by Active Agri.

The aim is to bale more than 100 in each county in Ireland over 6 days which works out at 3200 bales in order to raise money and awareness for two charities.

There will be four tractors with a combination baler unit each travelling to all the 32 counties in Ireland.

The challenge will kick off on the 29th May in Derry and will run for 6 days finish- ing on the 3rd June in the Donegal.

Bunninadden Agricultural contractor, Richard Brennan is hoping to become involved with the event and is encouraging farmer from Sligo to get involved in the event.

Each farmer will pay approximately a minimum of € 10 for bale 100 bales which will go straight to the charities.

There will be an opportunity to have a bucket collection at each farm. All monies raised will be split equally between Ronald McDonald House and Daisy Lodge which is run by the Cancer Fund for children.

This challenge will be coming to every county over the week so please come out and support us and you might also get a glimpse of the Grassmen team.

Active Agri Association Committee members each have their own individual reasons for dedicating their time and energy to this challenge with the main reason to raise awareness for ill and terminally ill children.
