ROSE OF SLIGO
Congratulations to our local rose Lisa Maloney on winning the Sligo Rose title on Sunday, April 16. Lisa is representing the Tubbercurry Old Fair Day Committee and will now take part in the Rose of Tralee Festival in Au- gust. Massive congratulations to Lisa on this great achievement and all of Cloonacool will be cheering her on in Tralee.
TABLE QUIZ
St Michael’s Church Cloonacool is holding a table quiz in Brennan’s Lounge Cloonacool on Friday, May 12, at 9 p. m. The quiz is in aid of St Michael’s Church funds. Tables of four can enter. All support and participation would be greatly appreciated.
CARD GAME
The Cloonacool Card Game has changed to 9 p. m. each Monday evening in Cloonacool Community Centre.
ROAD WORKS
Please note the following road works will take place over the coming months once the the weather improves: from Cloonacool village over towards Kilcummin/ Derreens; the Doomore road in by the Ball Alley towards Leitrim North; the Cloonacool/ Tubbercurry road from the junction at Carrane Ball alley down to the Corsallagh road ( main road); the Cloonacool/ Drummartin road at Mullaun and Clooneen/ Masshill road from the railway bridge at Tubbercurry over towards Ballyara. HOUSE CONCERT
As part of his current album promotion tour ( Homeland), singer/ songwriter Mick Hanly will play a house concert at Moy River B& B in Cloonacool on Saturday, April 29, at 8 p. m. Booking is essential – call 087 2512030.
