PARISH ENHANCEMEN­T

The parish clean- up has been a massive success over the the last number of weeks with huge numbers of volunteers contributi­ng to the initiative. The organised little pick on the N17 was called off on safety grounds.

The recent meeting was again very well attended with the following committee elected, chairman Michael Toolan, secretary Anne Marie Gorman and treasurer Johnny Ruttledge. The next step of the campaign will be aesthetic enhancemen­t through flower/ shrub planting around the parish. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, May 2, in the Parochial House at 9 p. m.

FEIS SHLIGIGH

Congratula­tions to some of our local musicians who were prize winners at the recent Feis Shilgigh at the Model Sligo. Well done to Aoife Johnston, Ciara, Hannah and Cormac Lee, Michael Gorman and Sinéad and Conor Johnston.

CARROWMORE SCHOOL

The friends of Carrowmore School group have announced plans for a Rambling house/ social event in the School on Saturday, August 12, More details to follow.

Congratula­tions to Geraldine Kilcoyne and Micheál Haran, who were married recently. Geraldine is a daughter of Tommy and Rose Kilcoyne, Achonry. Congratula­tions to Orla Kivlehan and Shane O’Connor, who celebrated their wedding recently. Orla is a granddaugh­ter of Kathleen Kivlehan, Belra.

TRACTORRUN

Coolaney- Mullinabre­ena GAA lotto tickets are available for 2017 from any committee member. This is the club’s main annual fundraiser so please support.

25 CARD GAME

The local 25 card game continues every Friday in St Nathy’s Hall at 9 p. m.

DANCING

Set dancing is on every Thursday in St Nathy’s Hall at 8.30 p. m. and social dancing every Monday at 8 p. m. for beginners and 9 p. m. for all others.
