Help your health with Art ‘ Check Up Check In’ event

HOW the Arts can help our health will be explored at a day long programme at the Model Friday week.

Healthcare professionals, arts workers and anyone interested in the area can join the ‘ Check Up Check In’ national arts and health event at the Model on Friday 5th May for a day of inspiring presentations and discussion. Fostering creativity, well- being and access to the arts take place across a myriad of healthcare and community settings, some of which will be showcased on the day.

They include a photographic project in a nursing home in Co. Galway; a community based arts and wellbeing programme and ‘ open studio’ in Co. Kildare; and a theatre project in a palliative care setting in Dublin. Check Up Check In 2017 is organised by www.artsandhealth.ie and local partners the Mental Health Services Sligo Leitrim.
