Community spirit alive and well at clean- up

THE North Sligo Playground Group held its 7th Annual Grange Village and Streedagh Beach Clean Up recently.

Chairwoman of the group Councillor Marie Casserly was delighted with the turn out.

She said: “Lots of rubbish and recycling material was collected from Streedagh Beach, Grange Village and River and surrounding roads by many volunteers from the area.

Thankfully the community spirit is alive and well in North Sligo.

Cllr Casserly thanked all those involved in the clean up and James McGowan of Sligo County council for the prompt pick up of all the rubbish.
