Fundraiser for Sligo GAA in NY this Saturday

A fundraiser race night in aid of Sligo GAA is taking place on Saturday ahead of the Connacht Championship opener between New York and Sligo in Gaelic Park on Sunday.

Sligo GAA fans travelling Stateside to watch Sligo take on New York in the Connacht Championship opener on May 7th are being invited to O’Flanagan’s bar at 1215 1st Avenue between 65th and 66th street in Manhattan on Saturday May 6th.

The fundraiser is being held for Sligo GAA ahead of the big game. Flanagan’s bar is run by Gerry McGwynne from Calry who is a big Sligo GAA fan.

The race night includes a Live band from 9pm, with special guest from Sligo, Maureen O’Dowd. There is also a complimentary buffet and no cover charge.
