Streets of Sligo on May 17th
THE Streets of Sligo 5K will take place on Sunday 17th May at 12pm. Sligo Athletic Club are looking to build on last year’s successful event with chip- timing for all runners and a huge prize list- 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female and 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the following categories; Junior, O40, 45, 50, 55, 60 and 65. The race is super- fast. It starts on a downhill for 500M on Connaughton Road and follows a flat route along Riverside before returning and finishing on O’Connell Street. Registration (€ 15) can be done on coretiming. ie or on the day in Lola Montez ( Kennedy Parade, Sligo) where refreshments and prize- giving will take place after the race. Sligo A. This race is suitable for all ability levels of runners.
