25 CARD GAME

The regular game in Community Centre on Tuesday was very enjoyable jackpot of € 300 was shared. The jackpot winners on 11 games were Stephen Fallon/ Gerry Lavin, Eamon Mullen/ Seán McHugh.

We want to thank all our loyal supporters and looking forward to seeing all again in September. Special word of appreciation to the team of organisers for the tea cakes etc on the night. Looking forward to seeing all our loyal players and some new ones in September. All proceeds goes to local projects in the community.

SPRING CLEAN THANKS

Thank you to the volunteers assisting the annual Spring Clean in Carraroe on Saturday the 22nd. It was a fantastic community response which means all roads in the greater Carraroe area had all litter and illegal dumping removed.

Special thanks to Owen McLean Colum Nevin and Noel Merrick, who travelled all roads with Owen pick up to collect all the bags, beds, tyres, TV, Cushions, Buggies etc and store for collection by Sligo County Council.

We appreciate the support of Mullane Plant Hire, who have kindly agreed to sweep all our roads to give our area a final clean sweep for the summer. James McGowan Sligo County Council is appreciated for his assistance and co operation in removing all items collected to disposal facilities.

It would be appreciated if more people in our community would get involved in keeping our area a nice place to live.

CAKE SALE THANKS

The organisers of the coffee morning/ cake sale in aid of the mental health charities wish to say a special thank you to the community of Carraroe for the generous support of the event and all the assistance provided to raise awareness and funds for Aware, Mind, Mind Your Mood and Pieta House.

Cúl Camps 2017 – Online registration is now open for St John’s GAA Academy/ Kellogg’s Cúl Camp from July 17 to July 21 at Stenson Park, Cuilbeg, Sligo. Anyone wishing to book their child/ children onto this year’s camp can do so now at kelloggsculcamps. gaa. ie. Anyone that books online before June 9 will get their gear delivered to their school.

SOCIAL DANCING

Class in Carraroe Community Centre each Friday night commencing at 8.30 p. m. Social dancing will take place after the class – Contact Frank at 087 9809432 for more information.

SLIMMING WORLD

Sessions are provided Mondays 3.30 p. m. to 5.30 p. m. and 7.30 p. m. and Tuesdays at 7.30 a. m. 9.30 a. m. – Contact Tracy at 086 3891600 for more information.

YOGA CLASSES

Yoga classes take place each Wednesday in Carraroe Community Centre from 8 p. m. to 9.30 p. m. Costs € 15 for a single class or five class pack for € 60. LAKEVIEW ICA

The monthly meeting of Lakeview ICA is held in Carraroe Community Centre on first Tuesday of month at 8 p. m. New members always welcome – for more information contact Mary at 086 3755849.

ST JOHN’S FC

St John’s FC registration for 2017/ 8 season takes place in Cuilbeg on July 5 and July 12 at 7 p. m.

CPR/ AED TRAINEES

There are now 80 residents trained in CPR/ AED in Carraroe area. Get to know the people on your road who are trained in CPR/ AED as it might be of assistance in the future. Please note the AEDs are located at the Community Centre and Football Clubhouse. The code to open is posted beside each machine.
