Litter pick is finished and thanks to all that helped it was a great success. We are in the process of getting the flowers for planting.
We are also looking for photos from around the parish: School, Community Games, Men’s and ladies’ Football, ICA, dancing etc etc. Please have a look. We hope to have a gathering in the hall soon with photos and local history on display, but we need your help. OCEAN FM QUIZ WINNERS
Congratulations to the Coolaney- Mullinabreena GAA Quiz team of Shane O’Brien, John Marren and Pádraig McGourty on winning the Ocean FM Pole Position sports quiz recently. They defeated Eastern Harps 42- 39 in thrilling final recorded live at the Glasshouse in Sligo.

All- Ireland Table- Tennis competitions – congratulations to our Under- 15 boys table tennis team who contested the all- Ireland Table Tennis finals in Tallaght on Thursday, April 27. St Angela’s awards – congratulations to Melissa Kerins, Amy Scanlon, Alexandra Ojoi, Stephanie Duignan and Ciara O’Connor ( all third year) on receipt of an award at St Angela’s College, Sligo for maths, Home Economics, English, Science and Irish respectively last Tuesday, April 25.

DARKNESS INTO LIGHT
On May 6, light will spread across the world, in over 150 venues on four continents. The vision at Pieta House is to create a world where suicide, self- harm and stigma have been replaced by hope, self- care and acceptance. Darkness into Light is vital for our fundraising, for raising awareness and for bringing people together as we do everything we can to bring about a suicide- free world. MID WEEK CYCLE
Curlieu Wheelers mid- week spins have commenced and will be held every Wednesday departing from the Crescent at 6 p. m. An evening spin will also take place on Fridays at 6 p. m. with the main weekend cycle on Sundays at 9 p. m. The club’s annual Sportive, the Lough Key Classic will take place on Sunday, May 14. Toughest Muckers.
Registration is now open for ‘ Ireland’s Toughest Muckers’ challenge which will take place once again in Lough Key Forest Park on Saturday, June 10, The 10k obstacle challenge will have a number of new features this year. A ‘ Little Muckers’ course is added this year for participants under 16 years of age with all money raised from this section going to a nominated children’s charity. 25TH ANNIVERSARY
Twenty five years ago, on May 3, 1992, Banada Abbey Secondary School Senior Football Team won the all- Ireland Colleges ‘ B’ Title when they defeated Edenderry ( Offaly) in a replay match in Hyde Park Roscommon.
A function is being organised to celebrate and relive some of the great moments of this magnificent achievement. It will be held in the Yeats County Hotel, Curry on Saturday, June 3, commencing at 8 p. m. A full Buffet meal will be served at 9 p. m. and the cost of tickets is € 20.
