BABY JOY

Congratulations to Maria Morrison and Michael Hogan, Bunnafeddia, Dromard and Ballisodare on the birth of their baby girl who was born on March 13, and baptised on April 15, 2016.

Congratulations to Gabrielle Clarke and Francis Hoban, Ballina and Doonflynn, Skreen on the birth of their baby boy who was born on November 28, 2016, and Baptised on April 15.

Both babies were baptised at the Easter Vigil Mass in Skreen Church.

COMMUNITY GAMES

Well done to the local Skreen- Dromard under- 15 girls badminton team and their trainers Amanda Higgins and Audrey Moore on achieving Silver at the Connacht Provincial Finals.

All good wishes to local swimmers Lily O’Grady, Jane and Mark Bradley and Manus McManus who represent County Sligo in the National Swim Finals in Abbotstown at the weekend.

Local Events dates: Sunday, May 21 – Local Area Athletic Games take place at the Community Centre Skreen at 1.30 p. m. Volunteer helpers on the day would be greatly appreciated.

Saturday, June 3 – County Art and Clay Modelling in Ballymote NS for those who have qualified from the local competition.

Wednesday, June 22 – County Cycling in Tubbercurry for those who have qualified from the local competition.

Saturday, June 24, and Sunday, June 25 – County Athletics Finals for those who have qualified from the local competition.
