TY student Kamil’s mentoring work up for a national award
A TY student in St Attracta’s is in the running for a national youth award. Kamil Bajdak, of the South Sligo No Name! Club is currently involved in a mentoring programme for first years in the school.
He has also participated in the John Paul II Award and Gaisce President’s Award. Kamil, who is a keen sports fan, has been doing trojan work in his school as a mentor to younger students. He has also taken part in many club activities and has helped to raise funds for local charities through church gate collections, raffles and bake sales along with the shoebox appeal. The No Name! Club National Youth Awards will bring together teenagers and adult leaders to celebrate the work that teenagers are doing in communities across Ireland. The black- tie affair at the Lyrath Hotel in Kilkenny is on Saturday, May 6th.
