Racing brothers on form

TWO racing brothers with connections to Sligo are currently making waves in the motorcycle world. Caolán and Rhys Irwin are the big thing in Irish and UK short circuit racing with the Donegal racers impressing both spectators and participants alike. Proud mum Louise and Team Irwin PRO said the teenagers have been getting a lot of attention. She added: “I nursed in Sligo for years and made very strong ties there throughout the years. The team are very well supported in the Sligo area and people ask me for up- dates. A special thanks must go to Wesley Regan of Clean Rub- ber Sligo, team mechanic who has worked tirelessly over the opening race rounds on tyre selection and bike set up and also for his invaluable sponsorship,” Louise said. Following on from Caolán’s fantastic Irish Championship Supersport debut, pictured inset, the Irwin Racing Team are competing in Snetterton and Mondello Park in May.
