-

A 36- year- old man who is charged with possessing a number of knives was taking his medication and injections, Sligo District Court was told.

Brian Reynolds of Drumiskabole, Carraroe was also living at home, his solicitor, Mr Gerard McGovern stated.

Reynolds is charged with having knives and a hatchet at Stephen Street Car Park on February 2nd last.

The case was adjourned from a previous sitting.

Judge Kevin Kilrane remanded the defendant on continuing bail to July 20th for a probation report with liberty granted to the Gardaí to re- enter the matter in the meantime.

Judge Kilrane told the defendant that he was glad to hear that he was doing well and was taking his medication.

Inspector Donal Sweeney asked that the defendant stay away from licensed premises in the town.

He had been turned away from the Snug twice, added the Inspector.

The defendant said this would be fine.
