‘ Have a Go Day’ a feast of GAA activities for everyone to take part in
SLIGO GAA Inclusion/ Games for All committee is organising a ‘ Have a Go Day’ in Sligo GAA Centre of Excellence, Scarden on Saturday, May 13th.
The event is running from 2.30 pm to 5pm and all parents and children are most welcome to attend this inclusive event. It promises to be a super feast of Gaelic games for children and parents and should be enjoyable, exciting and memorable for all.
Bernardine McGauran, Secretary of the organising committee, said: “The ‘ Have a Go Day’ is an event where all GAA activities are demonstrated by coaches, and the children and parents can then try the sport with guidance from coaches. The activities include Gaelic football, Ladies football, hurling, camogie, rounders, handball, Scór, cultural activ- ities, Health and Wellbeing and wheelchair hurling.
“This event promises to be a family friendly fun day, and hopefully participants will enjoy the experience and get a better understanding of GAA activities and also meet new friends.
“The participants can also meet and greet County players from Senior footballers, Hurling and Ladies teams, as part of this enjoyable event.
“The meet and greet with County Senior footballers is at 2.30pm.
“We are looking forward to your presence at this community event, and please encourage new people in your area to attend,” Bernardine added .
The ‘ Have a Go Day’ is on Saturday from 2.30- 5pm.
