The lotto numbers drawn on Monday April 24th were 10, 21, 22 and 30. There was no jackpot winner. The jackpot is now € 1600. The lotto draw takes place at 9pm every Monday night in Coolera/ Strandhill GAA Club House, Ransboro Park. Our annual Musical Treat takes place on Sunday May 21st at 7.30pm in Star of the Sea church, Ransboro. This year we are delighted to have Eurovision winner Charlie McGettigan, Eleanor Shanley, Kieran Quinn and Sandy Kelly providing the entertainment, as well as some exciting young local talent. The under 12 girls completed their group matches with a home tie against Calry/ St. Joseph’s on Bank Holiday Monday. It was to be a game that the girls win their fifth match in a row on a scoreline of 19 points to 6. Although they went behind early in the first quarter the girls settled into the match and led 6- 3 at the end of the first quarter. They extended their lead to 13 - 3 by half time, and kept the score ticking over till full time. There were many positives from the tie, including five points from Susannah Gilligan and a brace from Áine Morahan. Alana Wilson was dominant on the half forward line and put over some fantastic long range points, while Eva White and Orna Murphy excelled in midfield. Others to impress were Orlaith Beirne, Áine Harte, Lauren Healy and Hannah Bohan. The girls play the quarter final on Thursday. DRESSING Rooms and Lost Property
The Grounds Committee would like to advise all managers that it is their responsibility to ensure that the dressing rooms ( including the away dressing room) and storage shed are left clean and tidy after matches and training sessions.

DARKNESS Into Light Walk CONGRATULATIONS and thanks to the St Johns senior players and all the club members – young and old - who took part in and supported the Pieta House Darkness- Into- Light Walk on Saturday morning last. It was great to see such community spirit and solidarity for this most worthy project. ST John’s Lotto WITH the Lotto Jackpot standing at E10,550, the latest draw took place on April 29th in The Riverside Hotel at The St Johns Social Evening and the numbers drawn were 25, 27, 30 and 31. May 6th and will continue from 6.00 to 7.30 each Sat at the GAA pitch in Cleveragh, opposite the Sligo Sports Complex . The cost of the 8 weeks program is E30 which includes jersey, togs and socks. THE Galvin and Murray Cups THE competitions for The Galvin Cup for girls teams and The Fr Murray Cup for boys teams will take place on Friday next in The Markievicz Park with a 10.30 start. These blitz competitions are for the Primary school teams in our club area- St Enda’s, Carraroe; Mercy Primary, Pearse Rd and St John’s, Temple Street. The games will be 15 min. a half and will follow Cumann Na Bunscoil rules. The Draws are - Girls – 1. Carraroe V Mercy; 2- Winners V St Johns; 3- Losers of 1 V St Johns; Final Boys – 1- Mercy V St Johns; 2- Winners V Carraroe; 3- Losers of 1 V Carraroe; Final. The finals will be followed by the Presentations of the Cups to the winning teams. Lets hope the weather keeps up for what should be a great days football. DIVISION 4 Football League THE Div. 4 league will commence on Sat May 13th with a home fixture V Calry- St Josephs, in Stenson Park, Cuilbeg with a 7.00 throw- in time. The following Sat. May 20th we have an away game V Drumcliffe/ Rosses Point in Oxfield Park. There are further fixtures scheduled for June 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th. MINOR Football AFTER the encouraging performance and convincing win over neighbours Drumcliffe/ Rosses Point last time out our boys look forward to their next fixture which is on this Thurs May 11th at home to Castleconnor in which they will hope to reverse their one point defeat to the same opposition in their first round encounter. UNDER 16 Football THEIR next fixture is on Mon May 8th against Drumcliffe/ Rosses Point in Oxfield Park at 7.00 UNDER 14 Football OUR K & D Construction – sponsored Under 14 team were defeated by a strong Tourlestrane side in Tourlestrane last Friday. They have no fixture this week so it will be a chance for some extra coaching for this improving squad. UNDER 12 Boys THE under 12 boys teams travel to Riverstown on Tues 9th to take on the home side Shamrock Gaels in both the Division 1 and 3 Leagues. Both of our teams have shown signs of improvement as the league has progressed and hopefully this will continue on Tues evening. UNDER 8/ 10s THE under 8s and 10s have their next outing on this Wed evening with away fixtures against Eastern Harps in Fr Brehony Park, Keash. Players are reminded to bring their own playing gear and especially their gumshield. ST MOLAISE GAELS
A busy week of underage football saw our U14 Girls Boys pick up the two points in the League with an excellent 3- 11 to 0- 03 win away to St Nathy’s. Also on Tuesday at Monsignor Hynes Park our U11 Boys played a challenge game at home to Boyle and overcame the Roscommon side by a couple of scores. Thanks to Boyle for travelling to Grange for the fixture and we look forward to a return match later in the season. Thanks also to Parents of our U11 Boys for providing refreshments for both teams, management and supporters after the game. THURSDAY evening saw our U12 Girls continue their impressive run of form with a 13 to 5 score win against St Mary’s while our Minor Boys made the long trip to Curry and in a thrilling game emerged winners by 4- 10 to 2- 15. The two clubs clashed again on Friday evening this time in the Boys U14 A League and it was a win for Curry on this occasion on a scoreline of 6- 15 to 1- 10. OUR Junior Girls were beaten by an excellent CT Gaels squad on Sunday morning last. FIXTURES this week see our U12 Boys at home to Eastern Harps on Tuesday 9th at 7.00pm. On Wednesday our U8 and U10 Boys are away to Shamrock Gaels also at 7.00pm. A busy Thursday night sees our Minor Boys home to Tubbercurry/ Cloonacool at 7.00pm while at the same time in Banada our U12 Girls have a League quarter final clash against Tourlestrane at 7.00pm. THIS Friday evening 12th May our junior men open their Division IV League campaign with a home fixture against Curry at 7.30pm. Manager Mick McElligott assisted by Brian White, Paul Healy and Tommy McGowan have assembled a good squad and will hope to get the season off to a winning start. NEXT Sunday with time to be confirmed our senior men are sat home to St Mary’s in the Kiernan Cup. OUR next Club Lotto Draw takes place on Monday May 22nd at 8.30pm. Thank you to everyone for their continued support for this important fundraiser. OUR annual “Cash for Clobber” fundraiser coincides with the return of underage coaching. If anyone has old clothes and footwear that they don’t need the Club would be delighted to take these. Goods can be left at the Club rooms on any Saturday morning.

OUR U12 hurlers maintained their winning start to the league with an 8- 1 win over Tubbercurry/ Cloonacool in their Round 2 encounter in Kent Park last Tuesday. Patrick Brady marked his debut with a well- taken goal. Thomas Hargadon also got on the scoresheet. Robert O’Kelly- Lynch contributed six scores on the night. Other players to catch the eye were John Corcoran, Stefan Roche and Patrick Murphy. CONGRATULATIONS to Gaelscoil Chnoc na Ré, backboned by Naomh Eoin hurlers, on retaining their Cumann na mBunscol hurling title in Markievicz Park on Thursday. They defeated Corballa NS 4- 3 in an exciting match. OUR U14 team play Tubbercurry/ Cloonacool in Round 3 of the hurling league in Kent Park on Friday at 7pm. OUR U16 hurlers have a busy schedule next week. On Monday we face Benbulben Gaels in the U16 league playoff in Kent Park at 7pm. The winner of the playoff will advance to the cup final with the losing playing in the shield final; both deciders are scheduled for Thursday 18th May. SATURDAY morning coaching will resume this weekend in Kent Park at 12 noon. New players are still welcome to join the club. Registration forms will be available at the coaching session. GOOD luck to the Sligo senior hurlers and our players on the panel, Gerard and Tony O’Kelly- Lynch, Mathew Davey, Paul Kilcoyne, and Cathal Jordan, in their last home game in the Lory Meagher Cup v Fermanagh next Saturday at 3pm. Two games remain and two wins will guarantee a place in the final in Croke Park. PLEASE support the team. Well done last week with a convincing win v Cavan in Breffni Park 1- 20 to 0- 9 with the O’Kelly- Lynch brothers both on the score sheet. THE minor team got back to winning form with a victory over Coolaney/ Mullinabreena on Thursday on a score of 7- 7 to 3- 15. THE team will play away to Geevagh/ St. Michael’s on Thursday at 7 pm. THE under 12 team play away to Eastern Harps on Tuesday at 7pm whilst the under 8/ 10’ s play away to St. Pat’s on Wednesday also at 7pm. The Junior team gets its first taste of action when they play Drumcliffe/ Rosses Point on Sunday at 12 noon in Templeboy. THE under 16 Easkey/ St. Farnans hurlers had a comfortable win over Naomh Eoin on Monday in the league. On Saturday at 2pm in Bekan the team will play Tooreen of Mayo in the final of the Táin League. Good luck to the club members on Sligo’s under 17 Celtic Challenge team against Kildare Cadets on Wednesday. CONGRATS to the club members who celebrated their First Holy Communion on Sunday. Well done to the under 12 draughts team who finished fourth in the All Ireland Community Games Finals on Saturday. WELL done to Eamonn Kilgannon and Sligo senior hurlers on their win over Cavan in the Lory Meagher competition on Saturday. FUNDRAISING WHILE the playing area is now complete, the club needs to raise € 75000 to bring our indoor astro turf complex to completion ( heating, electrics, toilets, dressing room, kitchen, meeting room etc.). We are currently at € 48950 and wish to thank all of those who have donated already for their fantastic generosity. Due to a significant amount of club members travelling to New York for next weekend’s Connacht Championship match, the draw for € 500 and € 1000 has been put back until Sunday, May 14th. THE club requires the generosity of the community: individuals, families and businesses, both at home and abroad to bring the project to a completion. As previously advertised, you can sponsor a brick at € 100, a block at € 250 or a wall at € 1500. There are teams in the various areas/ townlands to contact to donate, and there are also be weekly collection points held around the parish to facilitate people who wish to donate. MINOR THE Enniscrone- Kilglass/ Easkey minor team suffered a second consecutive defeat in Division One following a 4- 14 to 2- 11 defeat to Ballymote/ Bunninadden at Easkey last Thursday evening. In a below- par display, the lads trailed 2- 5 to 0- 8 at the interval and failed to reel in the winners in the second period. They travel to take on Shamrock Gaels this Thursday evening, with throw- in at 7pm in Coola. U- 16 OUR U- 16 boys host Castleconnor on Monday evening at 7pm in Quigabar. Good luck lads. U- 14 OUR U- 14s secured their first win of the Division Two campaign when they overcame Coolera/ Strandhill at Ransboro last Friday evening, ending as 10- 7 to 8- 4 winners. This was a very good display from our boys, and is just rewards for the squad’s hard work lately. They have a break in competitive action this week – training continues. U- 12 OUR U- 12s welcome neighbours Castleconnor to Quigabar on Tuesday evening at 7pm, looking to continue their winning run in Division Two. Best of luck to everyone involved. Pease support.
