Property sales down study finds

PROPERTY sales in the west are down for the first quarter of the year, according to a recent study from myhome. ie Sales in Sligo dropped 8%, in Donegal it was 21%, Leitrim was down 9% while figures in Mayo were 17% lower on last year. This compared to an overall rise of 5% nationally, with, unsurprisingly, increases in commuter belt counties such as Dublin.
