Talent centre stage at ‘ Our Show’ 17

-

OVER 400 children from as young as 3 years of age took to the stage of the Hawk’s Well Theatre last week for the Avalon Centre’s annual ‘ Our Show’ 17 fundraiser extravaganza.

They sang, danced, mimed and acted their way through genres such as Irish dancing, Hip Hop, Salsa and lyrical to the delight of audiences. Such is the popularity

of the annual production that tickets sold out within three hours when they went on sale last January 21st. Proceeds fund their summer camps each July and August. Dance schools included I Dance, Sarah J Midleton Beat It, Kellys Irish Dancing and Lisa Cooper School Dance. "Audiences are loving it. This was all put together before Christmas. It gives them something to work towards. I’d like to thank all the backroom staff and our sponsors,” said organiser George Maguire.

The demand for tickets was so great they put on an extra matinée on the Saturday.

All dance schools operate from St Anne’s Club in the Avalon Centre, on Chapel Street.
