Palestinian flag is flying from Sligo County Hall at Riverside
COUNCILLORS Declan Bree, Chris MacManus and Gino O’Boyle pictured above outside County Hall at Riverside with the Palestinian flag which was raised on the building yesterday, ( Monday) the 15th of May ( Nakba Day) and will remain until the 31st of May as a gesture of solidarity with the people of Palestine.
The motion to fly the flag was jointly submitted by Cllr Chris MacManus, Cllr Gino O’Boyle and Cllr Bree and it was unanimously adopted at last Monday week’s meeting of the County Council. Also is an image taken by Mohammed Yasin in the West Bank Palestinian village of Bil’in, which is located seven miles from Ramallah which expresses thanks to the councils of Dublin, Sligo and Donegal for flying the flag.
