Drivers fined
AT Sligo District Court, Patrick McDonagh ( 19) of Connolly Street was fined € 100 and banned from driving for one year for drunk driving at Temple Street on April 9th.
The court was told a sample from the defendant showed a reading of 37mgs of alcohol per 100mls of breath.
The defendant, who represented himself, admitted the offence.
At the same court, Michael Lyndsey of 27 The Dunes, Enniscrone was fined € 300 for not having insurance at Trott’s, Enniscrone on October 6th and banned from driving for two years. He was also fined € 100 for not having a licence.
The court was told the defendant had a previous conviction from 2015 in Ballina for not having insurance.
Mr Gerard McGovern, solicitor ( defending) pleaded that the defendant ( 27) wasn’t working and no longer had a car. He had an English provisional licence.
