THERE summer is here and while some of us don’t want to splash the cash on trends that won’t last until the end of the summer. Why not invest in some pieces that will take you from summer right through until next year. Dressed up or dressed down, you will get your money’s worth from this classic pieces.

1. Playsuits

One of the most versatile pieces that you can have in your wardrobe is a playsuit. You can dress them up with a leather jacket or dress them down with a denim jacket, tights or bare legs: there are so many ways to style this all in one suit and it will be sure to suit all body shapes.

2. Jeans

Mom jeans, skinny jeans, ripped jeans, boyfriend jeans – the list is endless when it comes to these classic wardrobe staples. Now that the sun is shining a little bit brighter why not invest in some light wash jeans that will help add a bit of colour to your denim collection. Ripped knees are all the rage and a trend that looks to be sticking around for a while! But if that doesn’t take your fancy there are always hundreds of other lengths and colours to keep you as stylish as ever.

3. Shoes the word!

Put away those winter boots and step into the sunshine with a pair of new summer shoes. There are loads of different varieties around town, from sliders, to Birkenstoc­ks, converses and vans, flip- flops or sandals. There are plenty of shoe invests out there that will stand the step of time.

4. Sunnies

Investing in so good sun glasses or even prescripti­on sunglasses will stand the test of time. How many pairs of cheap sunglasses have you bought, only to end up broken at the bottom of your bag? Invest in a good pair of sun glasses and they will see you through not only this summer’s sunshine but also many more summers to come.
