WOMEN’S PROGRAAME

Women’s Developmen­t Program Self- care workshops for women are starting at 7 p. m. on Wednesday, May 17, in the Leap Office Easkey. The first session will be making your own homemade beauty products and a Reiki session.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

A QQIL3 Health and Safety Awareness course is scheduled for June 15 and 16 in SkreenDrom­ard Community centre from 9.30 a. m. to 3.30 p. m. The aim of the course is to raise health and safety awareness of employees. If you are interested call Anne Marie at 087 6649635 for more details. Places are limited.

SAD DEATH

The death has taken place of Eileen Devaney née Grady, Carrenrod, Easkey. Her remains were removed from McGowan’s funeral home to St James Church for Requiem Mass. Burial took place in Roslea Cemetry. Sympathy is extended to her brother Pete ( UK), cousins, nephews, nieces inlaws relatives and friends.

COMPUTER COURSE

A free computer course for adults will be held on Wednesday May, 17th, and 24th in Coláiste Iascaigh 2.40 p. m. to 4 p. m. Training will be given in using Gmail, Skype, Online Shopping, Car Tax Renewals, and TV\ Radio Online etc. Call 096 49021 if interested. Limited places.

MONSTER BINGO

A Monster Bingo session will be held in Diamond Coast Hotel on June 4.

LOTTO DRAW

There was no winner of the jackpot in the Easkey lotto draw on May 5. Numbers drawn were 15, 23, 24 and 30. Winners of € 25 were Bea Dunphy, T. J. O’Brien, David Reilly, Eamon O’Boyle and Micheál Weir. Promoters prize Barbara Reilly. Next jackpot € 4.000 and the draw will take place at the bingo in the Community Centre at 8.30 on Friday night. The lotto now is available online.

SHORTLISTE­D

Congratula­tions to Killeenduf­f National School on being shortliste­d in the Bord Gais Student Theatre Awards for Best Short Scene Script – Bingo Scene from their Granny Grudges Play. The group will attend the awards ceremony in Dublin on May 17.

PHOTO COMPETITIO­N

Dromore West Village Enhancemen­t Committee is having a Photo Competitio­n to have photos included in the 2018 Dromore West calendar. As part of this competitio­n that was launched earlier this year, we are now looking for Spring Shots.

If you have some photos of the landscape, nature/ wildlife or built structures in the Dromore West and local surroundin­g areas during the Spring Months, please submit them for our Photo Competitio­n – Closing date Wednesday, May 31.

This competitio­n is open to everyone in the community, novices, profession­als, old and young. All submitted photos will then be uploaded to our website and open to a public vote to choose the top three favourite photos. These three photos will then be published on three months of the 2018 Dromore West calendar.

GARDENING TEAM

The Gardening Team for Dromore West Tidy Towns will be meeting on Tuesday evenings at 7 p. m. at the Community Centre. From there, they will head out through the village to carry out various work. We are always looking for new people to get involved and join us, please feel free to come out any evening to give us a hand. The National Tidy Towns competitio­n is kicking off in June.
