MAYO ROSE

Congratulations and good wishes to Sandra Ganley, Bohalis, Ballaghaderreen, representing Kilmovee Branch of CCE on winning the Mayo Rose of Tralee. Sandra and her sister Laura are the resident dancers at the summer Seisiun shows in the Coleman Centre, Gurteen.

FIRST COMMUNION

The First Holy Communion will be at 11 a. m. in Cloonloo Church on this Saturday, May 20, for eight pupils of Cloonloo NS and five pupils from Mullaghroe NS. It will be in Gurteen Church on Sunday, May 21, at the 11.30 a. m. Mass for 13 pupils from Carn NS.

CEMETERY MASS

Please note that the annual Mass in Killaraght New Cemetery will be on Sunday, June 4, at 9.30 a. m.

NORTH WEST HOSPICE

North West Hospice are seeking people to run, jog or walk in this year’s Women’s Mini Marathon on Monday, June 5. A bus will travel on the day – to sign up and get a registration pack please email info@ northwesthospice. ie or call 071 9170523. To maintain the current services € 1million has to be raised annually by fundraising events, donations and bequests.

BINGO

Bingo is on every Friday night at 8.30 p. m. in Gurteen Hall the jackpot was won recently Friday night and now stands at € 1,600 on 46 calls or less with a lotto jackpot of € 200. Profits are shared for the hall upkeep and the local GAA Club Eastern Harps.

COUNTY SLIGO FLEADH

The County Fleadh Cheoil will be held this year in Sligo Town hosted by the Sligo Town Branch CCE. and the Fred Finn Branch CCE. It will take place on Saturday, June 3, and Sunday, June 4. There will be an Official opening and concert in the Sligo Park Hotel on Saturday night, May 27, commencing at 8 p. m. Also a concert on the Friday night, June 2, at 8 p. m. in Riverside Hotel with lots of musicians, singers and dancers There will be street entertainment on the Saturday and Sunday of the Fleadh and all are welcome.

LAUNCH OF SONGS CD

A joint CD launch, with two new CDs of songs, by Philip Doddy and Máirín Mannion will be launched in the Roisín Dubh, Gurteen, on Saturday, March 20, at 9.30 p. m., followed by music session.
