5 FEATHERHEA­DS AND DREAMERS II

Following on from its success in 2016, Featherhea­ds and Dreamers returns with a line- up of contempora­ry voices from authors, poets, performers, musicians, and visual artists that reflect the modern Irish cultural landscape. This year’s event includes author Kevin Barry; actor, writer and activist Donal O’Kelly; and Sligo band The Hunter. Curated by Patrick Karl Curley. 7 RESTORATIV­E YOGA WITH ANNE- MARIE

Restorativ­e Yoga is a different way of practicing yoga. It is incredibly relaxing, healing and, as the name suggests, restorativ­e for the body and mind. Only a few yoga poses are performed during the class, each one fully supported by blankets, bolsters or pillows and held for a period of time to enable you to completely relax and unwind. 8 AOIFE SCOTT AND BAND

Her sublime voice is a thing of beauty that stops people in their tracks. With an impeccable pedigree as a member of the legendary Black Family, which includes her mother, Frances, and her aunt, Mary, Aoife is steadily rising to the top of the traditiona­l and folk music scene, while garnering acclaim and recognitio­n both here and abroad as she hones her craft. 9 ACLARE ROAD RACE

The Aclare road race will take place this Thursday the 18th of May at 7.30pm. You can walk, jog or run the 8km race with the proceeds in aid of Gallagher House. Tickets are € 10. All are welcome to this worthy cause.

10 CORRAN PLAYERS

After 5 fantastic shows and roaring laughter with rave reviews the Corran Players are on the road again with their hit show: ‘ A wake in the West’ directed by Frank O’Mahony, a two act side splitting comedy. They will play in Calry hall this Thursday the 18th and Boyle hall on Friday 19th may. Curtain up 8.30pm nightly. Come along for a great laugh.
