Colaiste Mhuire must now address traffic safety issue

IT’S the responsibility of the School Management of Colaiste Mhuire to address safety concerns at their entrance.

That’s according to Director of Services Tom Kilfeather who was answering a motion from Cllr Keith Henry to address the safety concerns at the school.

“It was an issue when I was going there. The entrance is so narrow it leads to a very dangerous situation where cars have to encroach further on the road and you have large numbers of pedestrians,” said Cllr Henry. Cllr Dara Mulvey, who’s a Board member of the school, said private land near the exit was “a stumbling block.” The school has applied for Clár funding of ¤ 30,000.
