Bumper music in store with County Fleadh
IT is all systems go for the upcoming County Sligo Fleadh which will light up the county with music this summer.
The launch of the popular Fleadh was held recently in the Yeats Building. The Fleadh is taking place in Sligo town this year, over the June Bank Holiday weekend, having previously been in Tubbercurry for the last two years. At the launch for the 2017 Fleadh were members of the Sligo Town Branch CCE, Sligo County Board, Fred Finn branch CCE, Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council Cllr Hubert Keaney and Bartley Gavin, Chairperson, Fred Finn Branch, CCE. Huge crowds of participants and music fans are expected in Sligo town over the course of the event with top- class performances in store across a variety of locations. The weekend promises to be a brilliant showcase of Irish music and culture with performers from across the county taking part. The County Sligo Fleadh is running from May 27th until June 4th.
