TIDY TOWNS

The Gardening Team for Dromore West Tidy Towns will be meeting on Tuesday evenings at 7 p. m. at the Community Centre to carry out various works in the village. The National Tidy Towns competitio­n is kicking off in June.

HEALTH/ SAFETY COURSE

A QQIL3 Health and Safety Awareness course is scheduled for June 15 and 16 in Skreen- Dromard Community centre from 9.30 a. m. to 3.30 p. m. The aim of the course is to raise health and safety awareness of employees. If you are interested call Anne Marie at 087 6649635 for more details. Places are limited.

A Street Feast will be held in Easkey village on Sunday, June 11.

SCÓR NA NÓG

Well done to St Farnan’s Scór na nÓg music group who played at the official opening of the GAA Centre of Excellence in Scarden on Sunday, May 14. The group members are Lorna McGuinness, Ciara McGee, Claire and Edel Dunne. The centre was open by the president of the GAA Aogán Ó Fearghaíl.

SOCIAL DANCE

The May social dance night will take place on Saturday, May 27, in Skreen- Dromard community centre with music supplied by Dermott McConnell. Social dance classes take place on Wednesday evenings from 8.10 p. m. at the centre.

MONSTER BINGO

Easkey Community Council will hold a Monster Bingo session in Diamond Coast Hotel on Sunday, June 4 starting at 3 p. m. with € 3,800 in prizes. There was no winner of the jackpot in the Easkey lotto draw on May 12. Numbers drawn were 3, 10, 22 and 23. Winners of € 25 were Tracey Lenehan, Brady Bunch, Willie Brady, Joan Kilgannon and Eugene Ryan. Promoters prize Margaret Conlon. Next jackpot € 4.100 and the draw will take place at the bingo in the Community Centre at 8.30 on Friday night. The lotto now is available online.

A Mass for examinatio­n students and their families will be celebrated in Rathlee Church on Saturday, June 3, at 8 p. m.
