Organisers thank local community for supporting fundraiser

THE Ballymote community came out in support of a recent fundraiser for the Irish Heart Foundation.

The Happy Heart Appeal Collection in Ballymote was well supported and organisers say they are delighted with the amount raised for the worth cause.

A total of € 500 was received from the generous donations during the collection on Friday, May 12th, outside Supervalu.

The organisers added: “Thanks to everyone that so generously supported the collection.

“Amazingly € 485.31 was collected and we have rounded it off to € 500 which has been already given to the Irish Heart Foundation to be used as part of CPR Training.
