Ladies 5k series is on

THE Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnershi­p SuperValu Womens 5K Series which involves six events has begun.

It started on sunny Tuesday evening with a very successful event hosted by Calry Athletic Club involving 147 female runners and walkers.

The Series focusses on participat­ion and fun and welcomes females of all fitness levels to take part.

The next event in the Series will be hosted by Sligo Athletic Club this Tuesday 23rd May and will take place at Doorly Park with registrati­on at the Blue Lagoon from 6.30pm onwards with run starting at 7.30pm.

Newcomers are welcome to join in the Series while those who attended the first event are reminded to wear their event number.
