Success continuing for local singers in Dublin Feis
STUDENTS of Sligo singing teacher Anne- Marie Keaney won multiple awards ( including four first prizes) at the prestigious Dublin Feis Ceoil held at the RDS recently.
This brings the total number of vocal competitions won by Anne- Marie’s students to date at Dublin Feis Ceoil for solo and duet singing to a very impressive twenty first prizes.
The proud teacher said: “It is a huge achievement for these young singers from the locality to win so consistently in so many diverse competitions on such a prestigious platform and it is wonderful that such awards at a national level are going to the Northwest.”
The winners include Zoe Alexander ( Girls Vocal Solo { B} 14- 16 years); Aishling O’Regan and Ronan Coleman ( Vocal Duet { A} 15- 18 years); Ben Diamond ( Buachaillí 8- 15 years); Zoe Alexander and Cuan Durkin ( Vocal Duet { B} 11- 15 years).
