Litter Warden

SLIGO County Council has appointed a litter warden on a part- time basis. Brian Courtney took up duty on Monday in a temporary capacity, He will undergo short period of induction and training and will be assigned a programme of work,

The council is to circulate his contact details to Councillors for their information. There has been repeated calls by councillors for the appointment of a litter warden in recent months.

Mayor of Sligo Municipal District, Cllr Marie Casserly recently had a motion down at a meeting of the council calling for a warden.
