Niamh receives DCUscholarship

SLIGO student, Niamh Mohan of Geevagh has received a Refereeing Scholarship Award at Dublin City University.

The scholarship was awarded to Niamh for her excellence officiating in the sport of Gaelic football, throughout the 2016/ 17 academic year. Niamh attended Coola Post Primary and now studies a Bachelor of Education at DCU. This is the first time Dublin City University have awarded scholarships for refereeing excellence and were presented as part of the Sport Scholarship Awards ceremony.

The Sport Scholarship Programme at DCU provides students with financial assistance towards academic and sporting costs, complimentary gym access on all campuses, strength and conditioning support, academic tuition and educational workshops.

These workshops include topics such as nutrition, time management, resilience and recovery mechanisms.
