FAI CLUB OF THE YEAR

Manorhamilton Rangers recently learned it has been selected as one of final eight teams in the running for the 2017 FAI Club of the Year Award after the final short listing by the Football Association of Ireland from all club entries submitted for this important accolade.

On learning of the last eight award selection, Club PRO Dave Cummins said he ‘ got great news this morning from the FAI. Manorhamilton Rangers AFC have been selected as one of eight countrywide clubs nominated for ‘ The club of the Year Award 2017’

‘ It a huge achievement from such a small club as ours to be nominated twice in three years. My thanks to everyone involved who helps in the successful running of our club from coaches to helpers to committee to players to parents to supporters to sponsors.

‘ Together we make this possible. Extremely proud and an emotional day for me anyway and I know all attached to the club feel exactly the same. We now go forward on June 4 to the Aviva Stadium where we will be presented with an award in recognition of our getting to the last eight.

‘ Then it’s off to the festival of Football in Kilkenny for the FAI AGM where I will make an oral presentation on behalf of the club outlining why we should become overall club of the Year. Never a dull moment in this club’ a happy Dave Cummins remarks in conclusion on receiving the news of the FAI nomination.
