PARISH COMMITTEE

Flower and Shrub planting has begun around the parish at numerous sites with new flower boxes used and looking very attractive. Watch this space for more activity in the coming weeks.

CLOTHES COLLECTION

Achonry NS parents’ association are holding their annual Clothes Collection in June on the following dates: Friday, June 23, 3 p. m. to 4 p. m. at Achonry NS from 8 p. m. to 9 p. m. at St Nathy’s Hall Mullinabreena; also Saturday, June 24, from 10 a. m. to midday at St Nathy’s Hall.

Accepting all clothing including underwear, bed linen, towels, curtains, footwear, hand bags, belts and soft toys. Not accepted: pillows, duvets and mats.

Keep Packing and pass the word on to extended family, Neighbours And Friends and put a big effort in. For Collection Ring 087 6312980.

WEDDING BELLS

8K ROAD RACE

The second annaul Coolaney- Mullinabreena GAA 8k Road race will take place in Coolaney on Wednesday, July 5, at 7.30 p. m. Run, Jog or Walk this well organised and chip timed event in what promises to be a great occasion with numbers expected to be well up following last year’s success.

CARROWMORE SCHOOL

The friends of Carrowmore School group have announced plans for a Rambling house/ social event in the School on Saturday, August 12, More details to follow.

25 CARD GAME

The local 25 card game continues every Friday in St Nathy’s Hall at 9 p. m.

DANCING

Set dancing is on in St Nathy’s Hall every Thursday at 8.30 p. m. and social dancing every Monday at 8 p. m. for beginners and 9 p. m. for all others.
